Brief

I redesigned and revamped the AA Leasing platform, giving it a fresh look and a smoother user journey. The work modernised the experience, simplified leasing flows, and built a solid design system to support future growth.

Preparation

Before designing, we analysed competitors and discussed opportunities and restrictions with stakeholders and developers. This preparation helped us align on goals and priorities. From there, I redesigned and revamped the platform with a fresh look, smoother leasing flows, and a flexible design system to support future growth.

Our existing platform for entering property data was overly complex and unintuitive. Users faced numerous fields to complete, constantly navigating between flipping cards, opening modals, and reloading pages. This cumbersome process not only extended the time required but also led to frustration and monotony.

As a result, many users reached out to our office for support, significantly increasing the workload for our agents. Instead of freeing up their time as intended, the platform inadvertently created even more work for them.

Competitor analysis

The work began with competitor analysis and discussions with stakeholders and developers to clarify opportunities and restrictions. Since the platform was originally built before mobile-first became the standard, we needed to completely rethink user flows for today’s reality, where most visitors use mobile. Adding freshness to a corporate website was not simple: strict brand guidelines and multi-level approvals meant every design choice required a clear presentation and explanation of UX principles, typography, and usability rules.

Decision-making in big products

Working on a large corporate product means that design decisions are rarely quick or simple. Every change has to balance user needs, business goals, technical limits, and strict brand rules. Add to that multiple levels of approval, and even a small adjustment can turn into a process of discussions, presentations, and negotiations. It taught me that design is not only about creativity, but also about clear communication and building alignment across teams.

Final Product

Final Product

In the end, we delivered two versions of the platform: one tailored for business users and another for non-business customers. Both share a fresh, mobile-first design and streamlined leasing flows, while respecting corporate guidelines and ensuring consistency across the brand.
